Swinging Home For Christmas

December 11, 2010

HELLO there people who are still interested and excited for our posts!

On Tuesday the 7th of December I was on Alexander’s Christmas show, Swinging Home For Christmas in Arendal. It was an amazing show. Literally awesome.
He played a lot of songs, among them his well-known songs from the Norwegian old show “Kjempesjansen”, Foolin and Feever.
And of course, he also played loads of Christmas Songs, and he played them one after one in an impulsive speed! Also the bassist, Torfinn and the trombonist Jens Petter were singing with him. it was really hilarious. Hahahaha

Impulsive Christmas song singing

There were also two or actually three guest artists. There were a girl from Arendal, whom I can’t remember the name, a guy called Ole Gustav Johansen who is famous from x-Factor, and a boy, whom I also can’t remember the name of, who was actually going to China with Alexander for the Some Sunny Night Musical.

The Boy with the mysterious name and Alexander

So, regardless, I interviewed him after the show, and that was kinda amazing. Okay, truly brilliant, awesome, weird, sweet, embrassing, awkward, and terrific.
And since I’m such a good fan and friend and everything, I’ll translate the interview :)

What’s your best memory after you won?
I guess that will have to be the meeting with Will Smith. That was actually bigger than meeting Barack Obama. Will kind of became my buddy, we partied a bit and he laughed of my jokes. Yeah, I liked that guy. And, I recorded a CD with Wyclef Jean, but these are more material stuff. I can’t just main drop many people. The nicest thing must be all the child smiles.
How was it to be on stage in Arendal?
Really good. I was actually prepared for less people. Just a couple of days ago, only 30% of the tickets were sold, but you’ve got a culture coming at the door, at the same day. That’s cool, but I was very scared, because the only conserts I’ve cancelled, were in Arendal. So it felt really good to implement, it was lovely.
Which place have been the best playing in?
The one who has been the best for guarantee, is a village, because in the big cities… they are so “full” of artists. It’s like “oh, he’s coming today, that’s nice”, but the people who lives with cows and horses, suddenly there is an artist there!
Do you want to have these Chrstmas shows next year as well?
No, I feel I’m done with all these big tours. I’ve played
coherent in 2 years now, without any holiday. I’m close to 100 conserts in nealy 40 countries for 2 years. I want to do projects where I can deepen myself in one special thing, that was the the thing that was so fun with Grand Prix, that I practised for one particulary song for many months.
Do you have any future plans?
Yes, or, lately I’ve been very happy for metal, you don’t like that in Arendal, I guess(people actually do, that’s like that main music here… hahaha). I really want to mix generes, for example, what I do and black metal.
Do you have any Christmas traditions?
No… Eat rib, take a walk with Cindy, play for homeless, play in 2-3 Christian service.
You’re a charming man, is it many people asking for your phone number?
Yes, but it’s not
necessary because I’m charming. Someone wants to bother me, thus, there is many reason why to have my number. But, I do not give it away, I don’t, less I know the person.
And last, what’s the most weird thing you’ve got from a fan?
That must be…underwear, but that’s normal. A big iPod with Wall-E, it dances to the iPod. Actually a expensive gift. Lovely, I can’t call it weird, it was the most lovely.

SO, there you go, my interview with Alexander Rybak, and I got some help from my friend Malin :)

And now some more pictures

All pictures belongs to me :)

Sorry if there are lots of typos, I’m just so tired…. Haha
And sorry for the different fonts, lol, it just happend after I copyed a word….

Howdy!

October 19, 2010

There has been low activity on this blog lately, simply because nothing has happened among us in AIR lately. I just had to share with you that AIR has now existed for over a year. Congratulations you all! I’ve had so much fun with all of you and you made 2009 the best year. Thinking back… A year ago I was working all day long (nights too) to make a piece of art to Alex, which ended up as a Christmas gift to him. And not to mention all the trips I made just to meet him. Lots of great memories from Gardermoen where we started the airportmeetings. And there are more, much more. Maybe too much… no wait, I guess it was worth it.

Then we have the main person… Where is he? What is he doing? What has happened lately? I don’t know to be honest. There are several reasons why, but those are not going to be listed here and now.  Oh btw, I know (by a coincidence of course) that there is a bottle of beer standing outside his beloved apartment. :] Cheers.

Anyway I love the new music video! Thumbs up to it.

Drammen in December and Swinging Home for Christmas, maybe we’ll be there. It’s a nice tradition to attend Christmas concerts with Alex, and of course it would be lovely to see him again.

Trefoldighetskirken 12.12.09, what a great memory! And a great day.

Video by me.

This is the latest picture I’ve taken of him. Gotta love the quality.

Hello everybody!

It’s been a while now… But I’m here now!
So, I was at  ”Sommerspillet” yesterday, and guess who who were performing there?
Got it? None other than ALEXANDER RYBAAAAAK!
Okay, so that was the biggest reason I was there, but “sommerspillet” is in this town I live in, so I had to go anyway, and then it was so cool Alex were going too!

He was playing Europe Skies, which was fantstic to see, he were smiling and flirting with the camera (as always).
So here are some picture I took that day!

Spellemenn in Tønsberg

August 2, 2010

The big meeting in Tønsberg, where should I begin? I spent two days in Norway’s oldest city and it was fantastic. The first thing I noticed when I arrived was that there were Facebookies everywhere, and I got a little name patch on me before I even sat my feet inside the hotel. Well done, Facebookies! I checked in and run into Alexander already then. No need to say that he was a little stressed, but nice as always. After having installed our things at the room me and my friend went down to explore the city.

Outside the hotel.

At 16.30 we waited patiently among all the other Facebookies in the lobby. Kjell came later and guided us to a conferance room he had booked for us. Elisabeth Andreassen and Alexander were quite shocked when they saw all the 72 people inside that room. They started to present themselves and thanked us for coming. Alex wrote autographs on huge posters and talked to everyone for two hours. People was laughing, talking to each other and taking pictures – the atmosphere was great!

The show started at 21.00 and lasted for 1,5 hours. Alex and Bettan sang and entartained us with their humor all the way. It was FANTASTIC. They worked so well together and had chosen so many good songs. And I have never ever been to a concert with an audience like that, it was great. Facebookies are great. You could see the artists enjoyed it so much and they even did an extra song at the end which I don’t think was planned at all. We wanted more!

UPDATE!!!

July 18, 2010

Wazzuuup? Long time, no see. So many things have happened since last time I wrote! … or actually not.

Well, I have been to ‘Allsang på Grensen’ as I told you earlier and it was great. Juliane and I waited in line for many hours and got really good places almost in the front of the scene. It’s probably too late to tell you news like he sang Europe Skies and Jørgen Hattemaker, you all probably knooow. The audience was great as they always use to be at this show and sang with Alex and laughed at his jokes. As I learnt from last year I knew that the autograph-queue was going to be longer than at ordinary concerts, so we bought some food and relaxed a little before we went back to all the people along with Alex and his manager, Kjell Arild. We had brought Opptur-tshirts which we had made ourselves and it was cool that both Kjell and Alex commented them and said we should send three to all in Opptur too. They couldnt know that we have already done that. :) HIHI.

We walked from the train station with all our luggage on our backs, and it was HEAVY.

OPPTUR.

The clever boy found us in the audience and sent us a little smile :) … or whatever it was..

Alex and the girls.

Alex and the hosts.

Alex and Katrine.

*giggles*

Alex, Kjell, teddy bears and some facebookies – the real concert feeling.

Lovely Halden.

Europe Skies.

Next is the well-known huge gathering in Tønsberg 31.july. Will be exciting to be at a concert with more than 70 Facebookies from 20 different countries.

SORRYYY

June 25, 2010

I just wanted to say sorry, I really forget to write all the time. And Elin just keeps writing, and that’s brilliant!
We ♥ you Elin : DDDD
Hahah, I don’t think I have so much to say, hmm.

Alex’s going to have a consert in Horten (Norway) today. And the meet&greet thing is today instead of the consert which was going to be in Skien, but was canceled.
Congratulation, btw, you who won the meet&greet thing! :D

That’s it.. Haha.

Thanks for me!

Fagerstranddagene

June 21, 2010

Two of us in AIR Friends (Stine and me) were at Nesodden, Fagerstranddagene, 20th June. Opptur started to play right after we got there, which was quite perfect. They had all brought Imsdal-waterbottles which two of my friends and I had given to one of the guys in Opptur, Thomas, in May. That was really cool, nice to see that they got use for them in a special occasion.
Alexander arrived around 21.45, after having driven all the way from Stockholm and being delayed by a bike race. He song both old and new songs and summed it all up by performing “Fela Igjen” together with Opptur. It was a really nice and intimate concert.

Thomas was a really popular guy, here he is writing autographs. :)

It was really hard to keep up with all his female admirers!

17th May in Oslo

May 18, 2010

This was truly one of the best days I have ever had! :D First I was in hometown to watch the celebration, and then I went to Oslo with my friends. We watched Alexander and Didrik and lots of other Norwegian celebrities. Alex was shining! It’s a long time since I saw that gorgeous smile of him, he looked so relaxed and not exhausted at all :D
